The Ceiba Community Center works to foment a sense of belonging and involvement in this community of about 1,500 in habitants.

One of its signature programs is to provide support to adults so that they can complete primary, secondary or high school educations that have been interrupted by the need to leave school.

Their newest undertaking is a sewing workshop providing women with the necessary skills to be able to create clothing and other items for sale, adding to their household incomes and generating self-esteem and independence.
